St. Thomas & Eagle Glen Golf Club – Katie + Austin – Wedding Video Highlight Film

We have been in love with this family for years and have been honored with filming weddings for their siblings, friends and cousins. They are such fantastic people and definitely know how to throw a party.

Some of our favorite highlights at Katie and Austin’s wedding including Dad looking so proud as he walked his daughter down the aisle, the hilarious toasts by the Maid of Honor and Best Man, the sheer beauty of the Eagle Glen Golf Course and a Godfather Films first…watching Mom throw a football at the reception. And we have to mention the spectacular flowers, not just because they were really spectacular and beautiful…but they were provided by Katie’s sister and another of our wonderful brides who is a very talented floral designer who owns Little Flower Floral Design.

Congratulations to Katie and Austin and their wonderful family. We look forward to seeing you again soon!

Working at this wedding was even more enjoyable since we had such a great team of wedding professionals with which to collaborate.

Duane and Kelly Roberts Lifetime Achievement Award – Historic Hotels of America

Historic Hotels of America, the official program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation for recognizing and celebrating the finest historic hotels, presented the 2017 Historic Hotels of America Lifetime Achievement Award to Duane and Kelly Roberts, owners of The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa in Riverside, California. This prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award was presented at the 2017 Historic Hotels Annual Awards of Excellence Ceremony & Gala This award is presented to individuals who are dedicated to the preservation and stewardship of legendary historic hotels over many years.

The iconic AAA Four Diamond Mission Inn Hotel & Spa expanded from its humble 1876 beginnings as quaint adobe boarding house and blossomed into a full-service hotel in the early 1900s thanks to California’s economic citrus boom and warm weather attracting wealthy travelers from the East Coast and Europe. The Inn has played host to U.S. Presidents, celebrities and served as the setting in many Hollywood productions.

After changes of ownership, bankruptcies and near demolition, the hotel earned National Historic Landmark status in 1977, officially closing in 1985 before the Roberts immediately sought to revive it. After seven years and a $55 million renovation, they re-opened the hotel in December 1992. Since its relaunch, Duane & Kelly Roberts have been leaders in preserving, strengthening and honoring California and National cultural and heritage treasures.

The Roberts have created annual traditions such as the iconic Festival of Lights – created 25 years ago as a free gift to give back to the community and to share the beauty and history of The Mission Inn attracting hundreds of thousands of people – and Festa del’ Amore celebrates love and romance the entire month of February.

The Roberts serve on several boards such as the Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital Foundation; members of the Fox Riverside Theater Foundation Board of Trustees; Board of Directors for the Mission Inn Foundation; the Mary S. Roberts Foundation and much more.

Duane and Kelly continue to preserve and enhance their beloved hotel. The hotel is currently undergoing a $5 million renovation of guestrooms, restaurants and public space.

William “Rusty” Bailey
Mayor of Riverside, CA
Riverside’s Renaissance began with The Mission Inn. Riverside was no only the center of citrus horticulture but a resort region. The Inn attracted winter-bound tourists who spent months at a time. Riverside was the wealthiest city per capita by 1895. As the city prospered, so did the Inn which became favored by US Presidents, royalty, dignitaries and Hollywood stars. It was where the first World Affairs Conference convened, where artists would stay to be inspired. In the 60s, the hotel began to decay after being neglected, the city was no longer the center of the economic hub it once was. The beginning of Riverside’s revival began with Duane and Kelly Roberts purchasing The Mission Inn in 1992. The city is once again booming because of leaders like the Roberts.

John A. Russo
City Manager of Riverside
President of the League of California Cities 2002-03
The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa helped create the city of image of Riverside. The Raincross symbol began with Frank Miller after he patented for the Inn. The symbol has been identified with Riverside since 1907 and used extensively throughout the city, freeways, architecture, street signs, etc. The Mission Inn is designated as the city’s #1 landmark. In 1995, the city renamed a section of Seventh Street Mission Inn Avenue.

John F. Tavaglione
Riverside County Supervisor – 2nd District
The Mission Inn has had a huge impact on Riverside county with the many business that convene there, the tourists staying at the Inn bringing in occupancy tax, booming business that the Inn brings to the local community by sourcing from local Riverside businesses. The Inn’s rising success has also assisted with the county’s growth and new business moving to the region such as Amazon, Skechers, Aldi, and the California Air Resource Board. The Inn’s Festival of Lights brings $42 million economic impact to the region alone. The Roberts contribution goes far beyond the Mission Inn and they have impacted the entire community.

General Richard D. Roth
California State Senator, District 31
The Mission Inn has become an icon not only for the city, but for the state of California. The Mission Inn is one of the few hotels in California with the National Landmark status. It has become the center of political events, fundraisers, gatherings, weddings, meetings, etc for the region. The hotel continues to win national awards each year, bringing in new visitors from out of state and internationally to see and experience this amazing piece of history.

Cindy Roth
President and CEO, The Greater Riverside Chambers of Commerce
The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa began the annual tradition of the Festival of Lights 25 years ago when Duane & Kelly purchased the hotel. The event has grown in size every year since. This past year brought over 75,000 people to the switch-on ceremony and hundreds of thousands of visitors to downtown during the six-week long event. Last year had a $47 million economic impact to the region. The Roberts have been heavily involved the chamber. Because of their contributions, the chamber named the building after Duane Roberts.

Grand Opening Intercontinental Hotel Los Angeles Downtown “Behind the Scenes”

The newest addition to luxury hospitality in downtown Los Angeles has arrived! On Friday, June 23, 2017 InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown hosted its Grand Opening Party. More than eight hundred guests, including city and state officials, dignitaries, business leaders, influencers and tastemakers all enjoyed a first look at this groundbreaking new property. The hotel is the tallest building west of Chicago with 73 stories rising 1,100 feet above street level.

Go “Behind the Scenes” for a look at some of the details involved in planning and executing an event this grand. Featured in this film are Krystal Moreno, Director of Social Catering and Amy Funke, Director of Marketing and Communication at InterContinental Hotel Los Angeles Downtown along with David Merrell, CEO & Creative Director of AOO Events.

This event was years in the making and the vision combined with the planning, staffing, entertaining, feeding and documenting this event took many hours of coordination by some of the most gifted people in the event industry.

At 1,100 feet and the tallest building west of the Chicago, the L.A. skyscraper is hard to miss.
With a sweeping roofline, it stands out by day among the flat tops of its tall rivals and at night is illuminated with an ever-changing colored light show.

Changing the Los Angeles skyline and framed by Korean Airline’s logo is the 73-story building that houses the InterContinental Hotel, several floors of office space and five restaurants.

Yang-Ho Cho who heads Korea’s Hanjin Group, Korean Airlines largest shareholder, celebrated the grand opening of the skyscraper with parties and a show of the building’s dancing LED lights visible for miles. “The Wilshire Grand is a new tent pole for Los Angeles,” said Mayor Eric Garcetti a few days before it opened.

The InterContinental has 889 rooms. Guests check in on the 70th floor, in front of floor-to-ceiling windows where blocks of the city can be seen far below. There is a 24-hour cafe and a French steakhouse on the 71st floor. The curved glass top reflects the shape of one of California’s most famous rock formations, Half Dome in Yosemite.

Pain Management Kaiser Permanente – Riverside, California

Pain can be scary, frustrating, and overwhelming. Take action against pain.

We all have aches and pains from time to time. But if you have chronic pain, you probably experience pain that changes how you live every day. You – and your doctor – might not even know what’s causing your pain.

Whatever the cause, your pain is real. Chronic pain is not in your head, and it is not a sign of weakness.

If you’ve tried pain management before with poor results, you might feel hopeless. But there are some things you can do today to start feeling better and take control of pain.

We’ll show you how to safely use alternative pain treatments, medications, pain management classes and counseling, and at-home options to begin feeling like yourself again.

Begin by learning more about some of the causes of chronic pain, and how to talk to your doctor about what you’re feeling.

Non-drug therapy and alternative treatments can help you manage pain through movement, body work, supplements, and surgery. These work best when you care for yourself properly at home, and add medication as needed. You may find an increase in your pain when you start therapy but this usually gets better.

La Sierra University Promotional Film

La Sierra University Graduates Largest Class in School’s History 2017 – Highlight Film

06/20/2017 – Author: Darla Martin Tucker
RIVERSIDE, Calif. — Early on the morning of June 18, before the heat of the day set in, long lines of black-robed graduates, many adorned with colorful leis and graduation caps, stood on the upper mall of La Sierra University’s campus waiting for the organ’s resounding strains of “Pomp and Circumstance” to begin at 8 a.m.

“It doesn’t seem real,” said Kaitlyn Witherby, a management and marketing double major as she stood in line with her classmates. “I’m excited, nervous, but mostly excited,” said chemistry and Spanish major Caleb Flores of Fresno.

A short time later, Kristen Soares, president of the Association of Independent California Colleges and Universities stood before La Sierra’s 2017 graduating class seated on Founders’ Green and advised them to create memory imprints of the day and of other special moments in their lives. She also told the graduates to value setbacks and mistakes as resilience-building moments along the path toward their goals.

Soares gave an address titled “Be Present” for La Sierra’s commencement which saw 475 students, the university’s largest graduating class to date, receive 494 degrees.

The AICCU represents the chief executives of California’s 79 private, nonprofit colleges and universities and those institutions’ 330,000 students on issues of public policy. Soares’ efforts include advocating for the Cal Grant, a state financial aid program for higher education. Before joining the AICCU, Soares served as a senior associate vice president for government relations and civic engagement at the University of Southern California for 23 years.

La Sierra University is a Seventh-day Adventist non-profit co-educational university located in Riverside, California, United States. La Sierra offers undergraduate, graduate and doctoral level degrees and is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and the Adventist Accrediting Association.
