The amazing Timeless Celebrations lived up to their reputation for creating amazing events that wow wedding guests when they orchestrated David and Jade’s Wedding Celebration at the Wiltern Theater in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California.

There were so many fun and spectacular elements to this celebration that time literally flew by, both for the 300 guests as well as each of the wedding professionals who all worked together to make this event happen.

Some of the elements that made this celebration so special included the couple’s names on the marquee, life sized posters behind glass in the entrance, amazing décor, stylish wedding apparel, concert theater quality lighting and sound, legendary DJ, sparkler cake, dancing that wouldn’t stop, Rolls Royce departure and maybe the most entertaining ceremony ever!

SJCOG Agency Overview – San Joaquin Council of Governments.
Created in 1968, the San Joaquin Council of Governments (SJCOG) is a joint-powers authority comprised of the County of San Joaquin and the cities of Stockton, Lodi, Manteca, Tracy, Ripon, Escalon, and Lathrop. The role of SJCOG is to foster intergovernmental coordination – within San Joaquin County – and with neighboring jurisdictions; the other regional agencies for in the San Joaquin Valley; the state of California; and various Federal agencies.

SJCOG is overseen by a Board of Directors which makes allocations of funding to build transportation improvements. The board also establishes regional transportation policies and programs. Citizens, special or community interest groups, and other agencies are involved in the planning and approval process. Areas of public participation include SJCOG’s committees and task forces as well as attending workshops or public forums and providing input on planning decisions.

Mission Statement
The mission of SJCOG is to partner with local governments, the private sector, and community groups as the forum, facilitator, and administrator of regional programs, and to advocate for regional and inter-regional issues in the development of a comprehensive strategy to achieve resolutions.

San Joaquin County Multi-Species Habitat Conservation and Open Space Plan – SJCOG

The key purpose of the San Joaquin County Multi-Species Habitat Conservation and Open Space Plan (SJMSCP or Plan) is to: Provide a strategy for balancing the need to conserve Open Space and the need to Convert Open Space to non-Open Space uses while protecting the region’s agricultural economy.

The San Joaquin County Multi-Species Habitat Conservation and Open Space Plan (SJMSCP or Plan) objectives include the following:
Provide a strategy for balancing the need to conserve Open Space and the need to Convert Open Space to non-Open Space uses while protecting the region’s agricultural economy.
Preserve landowner property rights.
Provide for the long-term management of plant, fish and wildlife species, especially those that are currently listed, or may be listed in the future, under the Federal Endangered Species Act (ESA) or the California Endangered Species Act (CESA).
Provide and maintain multiple-use Open Space which contribute to the quality of life of the residents of San Joaquin County.
Accommodate a growing population while minimizing costs to project proponents and society at large.

Plan Activities
The SJMSCP, in accordance with ESA Section 10(a)(1)(B) and CESA Section 2081(b) Incidental Take Permits, provides compensation for the Conservation of Open Space to non-Open Space uses which affect the plant, fish and wildlife species covered by the Plan.

The SJMSCP compensates for conversions of open space for the following activities:
Expansion of existing urban boundaries
Levee maintenance undertaken by the San Joaquin Area Flood Control Agency
Maintenance activities
Maintenance of existing facilities for nonfederal irrigation district projects
Managing preserves
Mining
New parks and trails
Nonagricultural activities occurring outside of urban boundaries
Nonfederal flood control projects
School expansions

Transportation projects

John Goolsby of Godfather Films Receives the “Miss Dorothy Heart Award” for Passion and Excellence in the Wedding Industry

The wedding industry would be nothing without passion—both the passion of the wedding couples and the passion of wedding planners, consultants and vendors whose goals include making the wedding day a testament to love. Miss Dorothy Penner, MBC™, a long-time Association of Bridal Consultant (ABC) member from Louisville, Ky., knew and embodied this. She was also a firm believer in continuing education and the annual conference, which is why she established the Miss Dorothy Scholarship. The scholarship allows two ABC members to attend annual conference each year and covers registration fees and a stipend.

Penner passed away in 1998 and the Association of Bridal Consultants chose to honor her legacy with the Miss Dorothy Penner Heart Award for Passion and Excellence to the Wedding Industry. Started the year before her death, it is the only award the ABC bestows.

This is not a monetary award, but it is the most prestigious recognition that ABC presents each year at the ABC Annual Conference. John Goolsby was busy filming the event and was totally surprised when his name was announced as the recipient of this award in the Sandal’s Royal Bahamian Ballroom in Nassau, Bahamas at the 2019 ABC World of Weddings Conference.

Miss Dorothy said, “You have to have heart, and plan weddings with a passion so strong it becomes you. You must live, breathe, eat and sleep this industry.”

John currently serves as the ABC State Manager for California, Nevada and Hawaii.

Whitney + Micah * Destination Wedding at La Concha Resort in San Juan, Puerto Rico

Whitney and Micah chose the beautiful island of Puerto Rico for their Destination Wedding at La Concha Resort in historic San Juan.

We had a great time with this fun couple and everything went perfect since they had utilized the experts at Tropical Weddings to plan and executive all the details.

There were so many great elements to this wedding including a welcome party at the Oceano Restaurant Rooftop Lounge, ceremony on the sand on Condado Beach in San Juan, a great DJ that kept the dance floor packed all night, fabulous floral decor, very cool wedding and groom’s cakes, the famous Yuvi Plena band as a surprise for the our groom and then fireworks over the ocean. This was one awesome destination wedding!

Tanya + Jason & their Summit House Wedding Celebration!

We love being the family videographers for so many great families. Its wonderful to show up to film a wedding and already know almost everybody.

Tanya and Jason’s wedding was absolutely fantastic with so many great elements including a great venue being The Summit House in Fullerton, California. The location has a beautiful park setting for the ceremony and a spectacular ballroom with an amazing view plus a world class event staff. We love working at this great wedding venue.

You will fall in love with Tanya’s designer wedding gown and thoroughly enjoy Dad’s comical and emotional speech.
