The 2018 Association of Bridal Consultants (ABC) Annual Conference was held at the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay, Florida on November 11-13. Attendees came from the United States, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, The Bahamas, Bermuda, Haiti, Trinidad and Tobago, Bolivia and Peru. After a year of planning and designing, it was great to see so many friends and colleagues and make new ones.
The opening keynote presentation was given by Kristin Banta of Kristin Banta Events. Her topic, Design to Impact: How to Push beyond What’s Trending and Generate Greater Depth in Design.Fellow Keynote presetations included Sean Low
Breakout sessions included topics on Branding, Sales & Marketing, Décor & Design, Business & and Professional Development, Technology & Social Media, Business Growth & Development and were presented by Heather Canada Randall, Jennifer Lloyd Ball, Melanie Ramone, Marie Danielle Vil Robyn Hejnosz Bruns, Allison Eberhardt JoAnn Moore, Mark Kingsdorf, Christie Osborne, Tom Chelednik, Anna Coats, Marla Diann Dennis, Rebecca Koop and Madlyne Kelly.
The Miss Dorothy Heart Award was presented to ABC Director of Latin America, Camelu Millan Vargas. Marian Hilliard, Casey Lee and Susan Perry were honored as Miss Dorothy Scholarship winners. The highest designation in the association, Master Wedding Planner was awarded to Yolanda Furbert.
